The Burton Cotton Gin Museum in Burton TX is on the register of Historic Engineering Places. They start the hot bulb two cycle diesel engine every year to power a demonstration of ginning cotton in the early twentieth century. Starting the engine requires a careful orchestration of valves to inject compressed air into the cylinders to begin the rotation. This ballet is a sight to behold.
