Western Kansas in 1900
This is a collection of household appliances and tools that were common to households in rural Kansas in the early 1900s. There was no social media, no satellite, no internet, no computers, no digital, People spent much of their time growing and preparing their food. It involved a lot of hand labor and time. During this period the automobile and tractors displaced horses, mules, and oxen to power transportation and tillage. The heavier than air craft was invented and perfected creating the airline industry. Household tasks were automated and prepared food became available in grocery stores.
